"Education in what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school"
Albert Einstein
In the words of Albert Einstein “Education in what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school”. There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book and pass an examination. It is not merely developing a mind and getting good grades. The whole life is process of learning. While educating the minds we must not forget to educate the hearts. Our society encourages competition and values, only power. The result of an education is insecurity and isolation. True confidence however comes from being compassionate to others which is inculcated by this institution in everyone
Stella Maris Convent school provides a learning environment that is loving, caring, positive and safe. In my experience happy teachers teach more effectively and happy students are more efficient learners. We are all born to experience eternal happiness.”Happiness is not something readymade it comes from our actions”. Much like a gardener who waters, feeds and weeds in order to have a healthy harvest, we need to dive in for happiness to achieve the sense of completeness.
Mind has a profound effect upon a person’s sense of well-being – I am the programmer of my own life, I have the power to change the destiny of my life. Your belief in yourself will change your life in a beautiful and wonderful way. If everything is energy, and you are sending your vibrations in the universe, you get back what you send out there.
I feel fortunate to be a part of SMCS family. As a parent you want the best for your child and we at Stella Maris Convent School ensure to work together with an aim of having every student’s best interest at heart.

"When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts"
Dalai Lama
We are the seeds of tenacious plant, and it its our ripeness and our fullness of heart that we are given to the wind and are scattered. Our life is all about finding a need and filling it. Find a hurt and heal it, find a problem and solve.
Stella Maris Convent is a vibrant learning community. We seek to instill in our students a passion for learning that will bring the knowledge and understanding they will need to make a positive contribution to the communities in which they live and work. Our commitment to a holistic education provides a myriad of developmental and talent management programmers, and educational experiences in helping every satellite discover their interest and develop the passion and drive to pursue their strengths. We encourage them to seize opportunities provided by school and participate fully with the willingness to grow in the process.
‘Celebrating the past, Embracing the future’ The school has made progress by imbibing in its students value-based education synergized with modern teaching- learning methods to produce a generation which is well informed and emotionally sound. I am positive that in times to come we will continue this journey with elevated enthusiasm and persistently provide holistic learning to young generation.
The core message I wish to give my students and others is to have peace within. The best way to bear troubles with equanimity is to thank God heartily for everything, and that which is not so good. Positive attitude will affect the outcome of many things. Make progress every single day.
Our approach involves working with parents to meet the individual needs of every student.
"Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought for with ardor and attended with diligence".
The motto of the school ‘Love and Service’ encourages them to realize their dreams and achieve their goals. The school is a fulfillment of a dream for a group of educationalist, teachers and parents under the umbrella of Bethany Educational Society.
I feel proud to provide quality education that rewards preservance, resilience, initiative, problem solving and cooperation which equips our students to face the challenges of the future.
May God Bless SMC and all those who labor untiringly to keep us moving ahead on the path of progress.

My greetings to all the readers!
It is this conviction in self, trust in god and faith in all the dear ones associated with SMC family that has led to express my gratitude in the beginning of the new session 2013. In the academic year which has just passed by, we have seen various qualitative improvements in terms of infrastructure, quality of teaching, students’ participation in academic and extra- curricular activities. I thank the students, parents and teachers for their zealous participation, generous, kind co-operation, self less and sacrificing service for the significant and smooth conduct of ‘Aureola ‘ in December 2012.
The grand success of this event is the revelation of indispensable support of you dear parents and children, without which this success wouldn’t have been possible.
It not only indicates communion, collaboration and team spirit among everyone but also marks our effort and endeavour to bring excellence in terms of developing each one’s unique potentialities to build a just and humane community.
This temple of learning had been palying a vital role in the socio-economic and educational amelioration of the various section of our society since its inception in 1968, with a purpose to archive greatness in the field of education as it is said “Great minds have purpose, others have wishes. Every action of our life touches some chord that keeps vibrating in eternity”.
The commendable support and cooperation extended by the parents in enabling the students to impart education through smart classes has added an impetus in the series of measures adopted by the institution in the recent past to enhance the quality of our students.
As Robin Sharma puts forth- “Quick fixes do not work. All lasting inner change requires time and effort. Persistence is the mother of personal change and great things don’t happen without hard work and sacrificing”. The great thing in this word is not so much where we are but in what direction we are moving.
In this journey towards higher goals, we are not complacent at this point, but we shall endeavour to achieve more targets in the future.
May God bless the students, parents, teachers, and all those who labour untiringly to keep us move ahead on the path of progress.
